Our early childhood program is centered on the belief that all children are capable. Our program welcomes children of all abilities, who are partners in learning as they thrive in friendship and connections that prepare them for future learning successes. We offer experiences that support children’s social and emotional growth in order to foster independence and a strong sense of self We value the child’s ability to take part in shaping their own learning process.
Our classroom spaces are staged to support investigations and connections regarding these essential building blocks for early learning:
Socialization
Language and Storytelling
Fine Motor Development
Critical Thinking Skills
Music and Rhythm
Gross Motor Strength
Self Regulation
Natural World Study
Pre-Literacy Development
Color and Shape Awareness

PCCD currently offers Preschool scholarship supports for qualified families. We strongly encourage families seeking financial aid to apply.
Each child has their own unique path to gathering and processing information about their world. As they enter the realm of structured learning opportunities by enrolling in preschool, it is important that a child’s first place of learning be a place of comfort, exploration and is full of points of connection. Experiencing a rich, developmentally appropriate play-based curriculum supports the young child in discovering their sense of self as a learner. The child works to build strong relationships with self and others. Children naturally construct their own learning and experiences. Our teachers facilitate, guide, observe, support, and inspire children as they learn about their world.
