We have all been deeply saddened by the unspeakable tragedy that occurred in Newtown Connecticut last Friday. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the families as well as the Newtown community as this has touched everyone in a profound way.

I do want to assure you that the safety of our children and the security of our campus are high priorities at PCCD and we strongly believe that everyone is safe. We have emergency protocols and procedures in place that are reviewed and practiced. On Monday, all program directors met to once again review our safety measures.

Projects already being planned to enhance security will be implemented immediately, one being that we will now be a full-time locked facility. Doors will no longer be unlocked at arrival and departure times. Until we have a new buzz-in or code system, we will ensure staff are available during all arrival and departure times to assist at the front door.
